I have no dj experience at all and all I have is a computer. I’d like to start mixing audio and trying to make some techno mixes. Is there any software that someone would recommend? I have no experience and I don’t have turntables either. Thank you!

The way I see it,I’ve seen and heard it all when it comes to DJs in hip-hop. Now,in turntablism, we all know the basics-scratching,mixing,backspinning,beat juggling,and the most advanced of all-body tricks. Turntablism has played a very important role in hip-hop. Today,I have came across something new,and that is experimental noise turntablism,which leads me to this question-what is the difference between hip-hop DJs and experimental noise DJs? I know that the hip-hop DJs scratch and mix for turntablist battles. As for experimental noise DJs, I would figure these DJs would mess up the mix and the song by making silly sounds on the turntables,just by fooling around with the records-and not doing a serious DJ mix. Noise music is something I would like,especially when I would record myself switching channels on the radio,place the cassette in my tape recorder,and mess around with the speed control to see how the music sounded when it’s warped or distorted. And then I would constantly press the rewind,play,and fast-forward buttons to make it sound like turntables. I think that experimental noise DJs would make their mix sound like a broken tape recorder that is eating up the tape. But then again,I could be wrong. So,please tell me,what’s the real scoop behind this new sound of music?

I’m lookin to buy acuipment, but i want to know the best brand.
In the past i havent really gotten to good of stuff.

i use software called virtual DJ. I want to use my software, but have analog tables/mixer that mix whats running on my virtual DJ. sounds f’d. get it?? thx

I need to ship turntables (2), mixer, dj coffin, stand, and two crates of records to Ft. McMurray, AB, Canada. I would like to find a shipper that will package it for me as well, to ensure it arriving intact. Would like to ship as cheaply as possible but also reliably, any ideas?

I saw videos on youtube.. And i think turntables are easier… I have virtual dj but its 2 hard to control everything. What is easier? What should i do? I like pioneer turntables.. Can you mix a song with 1 turntable? Or shud i stay with virtual dj and buy the program? Im a beginner dj. WHAT SHOULD I DO?!

I use Tha Virtual DJ Program and a BCD2000 Midi Controler.
But when I try to Scratch on my BCD2000 it dosent sound quite like vinal. I planing on geting a turntable to connect to my BCD2000 just for scratching. Whats a good vinyl record that will make good DJ scratching sounds?

Among the new models and companies, mainly the ones that produce turntables for dj’s.

It’s not a sweet 16, so the invite can’t make it seem like it’s too fancy. but I can’t think or find anything good for it. Do you have any ideas that aren’t cheesy

It’s a simple music food and people type of party, with a cake shaped like a dj turntable (ahah my favorite part) It’s in april and thats it, but IDK what kind of things to say in invitation but I gotta make them today!!

Supposed to include tracks from a lot of hiphop artists, like Jay-Z, Beastie Boys, even Eminem. These music simulator games are actually pretty cool in my opinion. Instead of a guitar like Guitar Hero, you will have turntables and a mixer. I think a mic will be included as well. Not sure, its not being released until October this year.
