I just wanna mix a few electronic music mixes, basically like on-screen DJ decks. any suggestions for programmes? I’d be very greatful
Meaning, I could get a better mixer if I could some Numarks or something. How important is the quality of the turntables vs. a lower quality mixer. As far as my plans go, I plan on scratching and mixing (I plan on a serato too) but not like, battle dj-ing.

i know most club dj’s are filtering this type of mixing to there setup and its getting big..the future of club music is pure video mixing seems like it..though im more into the old school..a practical 2 turntable vinyl and mixer setup and thats it but this whole new tech..djs are getting all crazy.. looks nice in the club all flashy .. but i rather keep it O.S.. but i wouild love to have some video mixes for my own use..anyone know of good sites where you could download or maybe purchase some…thanks
Instead of using a cd player to mix the music can you hook up a computer to the mixer? And if so what are some good brands of mixers to do this? Also is there mixers that allow you to scratch like a turntable? And one last question what software should i look into buying for my computer to do this? Sorry so many questions.

Numark or Stanton? I see Ion is really cheap – but you probably get what you’re paying for.

I have an HP Notebook with a great music library and want to get into DJing I have a little experience in Clubs and house parties my problem is I’ve worked with other people and now I want to do my own thing and I can’t afford to get a Serato box yet. If a restaurant,club or individual had their own turntable setup but not a serato would I be able to use my music library with it? also I currently have Mixpad audio mixer,wavepad sound editor and Zulu. I’m in the process in buying some technics turntables used to spin house music but what is the difference between Technics SL-1200MK2 and Technics SL1200M3D turntable? Does it really matter which one I choose because I’m just a beginning dj. Just want to make sure I”m getting the right one for the house music style.

I have a stack of old records of my parents and grandparents from way back. Right now I have an old ’70s RCA tabletop receiver with a built-in turntable. The speaker outputs are shot so I’m looking for a new turntable with all three speeds 33, 45, & 78. I’m not a DJ so I don’t need fancy switches and buttons, etc. Just something with an on/off switch and a speed switch. I’ll just be listening for normal pleasure in a my home. What are the best brands of record players? Cartridges? Needles? What do they cost? From experience, how long do they last? I’m trying to build an entire stereo from scratch so I want the best. I’ve bought cheap pieces of crap for $100 that sound very bad. Such as Emerson, the “sad excuse for being classic” Crosley replicas, etc. I only want the stand alone turntable, not an all-in-one set-up.
Ok, Ive recently decided (after about a year of producing music) that i think it would be a good idea to learn to DJ to help promote my music and other peoples…Ive been looking around and have come to the decision that ill like to start with a DVS(Digital vinyl system) as i cannot afford vinyl and this would be a great substitute. I don’t know much about DJ’ing at all (Mostly what hardware + software too get).

1. My question to you is, how can I posibly get rid of the feedback when mixing on computer?
2. Im trying to do some live mixing with a little bit of editing but the way I do it I record 2 tracks at once. Plus I get more feedback cuz i’m recording within the program. How can I do edits so that the song I have on there doesnt interfier with the song im trying to mix live, plus catch the beat?
3. What is the best program out ther for feedback? I tried one program and it sucked. I’t didn’t remkove any feedback pop or clicks.

HI. I really want to buy dj equipment, yet the real turntables and mixers are way too much money for me. So, I wanted to buy either the Numark total control or an omni control. Is the DJ/IO USB Audio Output Interface for DJ Software necessary? (I copied the name from the website of B&H)
