I’ve been to some dances where the music isn’t the greatest to dance to. How can I leave recommendations that the DJ may actually take into consideration?

what are good dj sites to join to know more about djing like how to setup your needles right,what turntables to buy and things of that matter?

I’ve been a scratch DJ for quite some time now, probably 5-6 years on and off. I have also been mixing for about 6 months now. My old setup was one I shared with my older brother and we shared two Technics 1200s and a Rane TTM 56. The problem is that my older brother moved out quite some time ago into an apartment and he’s taking his setup back to his apartment. So being me, I want to get a setup that fits into my budget of $100-200. More specifically, I want to get turntables only right now since my brother had left me an old mixer behind that is still in good shape.

I was looking at the Numark TT1600 MKII and people say that it’s a pretty good one for my situation. I’m thinking of getting it as well, even though it is no Technics 1200, haha.

So basically, I want to buy a set of turntables for around $100-200 and can have the capabilities of mixing AND scratching. What do you guys think? Have any ideas?

i know most club dj’s are filtering this type of mixing to there setup and its getting big..the future of club music is pure video mixing seems like it..though im more into the old school..a practical 2 turntable vinyl and mixer setup and thats it but this whole new tech..djs are getting all crazy.. looks nice in the club all flashy .. but i rather keep it O.S.. but i wouild love to have some video mixes for my own use..anyone know of good sites where you could download or maybe purchase some…thanks

I need to mix 2 songs together with one of those turntable scratchy noises in between them. Can anyone help me out? Am I able to do it on Garageband (on a Mac)?

I want to do scratching/remixing and also Club DJing. I want to buy equipment which is good for a beginner but is also good quality. What would you recommend? How much do you usually have to spend? I want to buy CD turntables not Vinyl Turntables, simply because its cheaper to buy CD’S & theyre more portable. What equipment would you recommend to start out? Hey, does anyone know a free to download dj mixing software that has a time-coded system, i want to be able to plug my cd players into my laptop useing a sound card and they appear on my screan on two virtual turntables or something like that.Any help would be great, thanks!

I spin drum and bass. (I have Numark 1’s I think)But I was thinking of getting new needles and want to upgrade to something that gives me high quality and doesn’t wear out my vinyl. Does anyone know of a good set up for a reasonable amount?

I hear that you cant mix songs that you want. You have to mix the ones that re already mixed.

i’m a rookie dj,and i always wanted to learn how to do this,but the thing is,i use virtual dj but i dont like using my keyboard and mouse,so i was wondering whats a good usb midi turntable and mixer to use or dj control that could be possibly compatiable with the program.Or is there any good programs that could be used to mix music and bpms of songs to make dj styled mixes songs back to back.Something like mixcraft and virtual dj mixed together,that i can fuse songs together.Somebody plz let me know.

I am just starting to dj and I have 2 Numark TT200 turntables

Where can I find a large selection of D.J. desks, like with enough room for two turntables and a mixer on top, and sections below for stuff like CD cases and possibly a section for rack-mount amps?

I have recently purchased a set of turntables and a mixer, and a small amount of vinyl. I live in northern va, I want to find a store that sells vinyl (like beats and acapellas, not just albums), mixers, and other supplies like cables. Anybody know a good place to find that? Also, I just started, and am not really sure what i’m doing. how can I start becoming better with beatmatching and mashups?

i’m using a shuttle sn68sg2 desktop barebone and i just got the package of 4 gigs ram, 2.67 Ghz processor ~1 mb cache. and it has apparently a highdef 7.1 audio card. but i want to get a better one. i control it via virtual dj and a little hercules usb controller (the djcontrol mp3) then i’m running the comp into a Korg Kaoss pad mini(but i’ll get a kp3 one day).
so how good is that b/c i heard computer djs don’t really get taken as seriously as the old school turntable djs or any other dj lol

I use Tha Virtual DJ Program and a BCD2000 Midi Controler.
But when I try to Scratch on my BCD2000 it dosent sound quite like vinal. I planing on geting a turntable to connect to my BCD2000 just for scratching. Whats a good vinyl record that will make good DJ scratching sounds?
